An authentic French café in the middle of Tulsa.

As someone who is a fan of crepes, but not the Americanized version, finding authentic crepes is hard. Until I stumbled upon Le Louvre. Ditch the Americanized "French" cafés and eat locally.

Le Louvre is a small business owned by a French couple. The cafe has been opened for a year and a half. They moved from France to follow their son to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I asked the owner how he felt about it and he said he would've preferred a different city but Tulsa is where he son was.

In the store, everything is French. The music, the style, the menu. There is even a blown up picture of the Louvre on one of the walls. Everything is made from scratch- breakfast, the crepes, the desserts, the sandwiches; you name it.

They sell out of the desserts REAL quick as I overheard him explain to the customers that people would buy it from the mass quantities whenever they opened. So, if you want some cake, get there when they open.

The food is served on paper plates but don't let it "ruin the aesthetic". These crepes aren't playing around. Each serving is basically an entire meal. There is a crépe for everyone. If not, they serve actual lunch items.

La Banane Crepe

Say Au Revoir to The Americanized cafes and say Bonjour to Le Louvre.
